Learn more about the human trafficking of women

Susi Maiyer of Mansfield, an Ambassador of Hope for Shared Hope International, will be the speaker during a free lecture about human trafficking of women and children.

The Women’s Fund of the Richland County Foundation will host the presentation Tuesday, February 21 at 6:30 p.m. at 181 South Main Street, Mansfield.

Maiyer will show a documentary called “Shadow on the Heartland” which was produced locally by Gunther Meisse and Humanitarian Solutions.  

 After reading an article in Today’s Christian Women’s Magazine several years ago, Maiyer felt compelled to do something about the human trafficking of women and children, especially through sex trafficking.  She has been working for the past nine years to spread awareness about this terrible crime.
