Brady Groves Announced as New Foundation President
The Board of Trustees of Richland County Foundation is pleased to announce it has selected a Mansfield native as its new President.
Mr. Bradford (Brady) Groves, having lived and worked in the area for most of his career comes to the foundation with more than twenty-five years of experience in management, finance, sales and marketing, and human resources. His career includes serving as Director of the Chamber Foundation at the Mansfield/Richland Area Chamber of Commerce and as President of the Marietta, Ohio Area Chamber of Commerce. Prior to joining the Foundation Groves worked in sales and marketing at MedCentral Workable Health and Safety Services and as Manager of MedCentral Health and Fitness Center. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University and an MBA from Ashland University.
Bradford Groves will become the fifth leader of Richland County Foundation, effective March 21, 2011. He succeeds Douglas Freer, Vice President for Finance and Operations who has served as Interim President after the retirement of Pamela H. Siegenthaler last year.
“Brady brings enthusiasm and dedication to our community along with leadership skills to help the Foundation serve the needs of our donors and grantees. He understands the economic challenges facing Richland County and will be effective in managing the Foundation’s programs and leadership initiatives,” said Sid Foltz, Foundation board chair.
Richland County Foundation is the ninth largest community foundation in Ohio with assets of over $82 million. In 2010, the Foundation made grants of more than $3 million to charitable organizations that support programs and projects in education, health, human services, children and youth, economic development, the arts, and protecting the environment, along with awarding college scholarships. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of trustees and administers over 300 charitable funds created by individuals and nonprofit organizations.
