Richland County Foundation Awards Grants of $54,102 from Donor-Directed Funds

Tuesday, June 21 – The Richland County Foundation Board of Trustees recently approved grants totaling $54,102. The following grants were awarded from funds with specific charitable directions as established by donors.

Braintree Business Development Center received a grant of $25,000 to repair the roof of their building. The repair will provide an additional 9,000 square feet of rentable space. Granted from the Paul R. Tappan Fund directed to support economic development.

Galion City Schools received a grant of $10,677 for educational programs including: Fall Drama, Students Against Drunk Driving, ACT On-line License, and Challenge Day. Granted from the Galion Community Education Foundation Fund directed to support educational projects and programs in Galion.

North Central AIDS Foundation received a grant of $1,131 for AIDS clients. Granted from the Richard David Gardner Fund directed to support HIV/AIDS clients and their families.

North Central State College received a grant of $2,093 for scholarships. Granted from the Mansfield University Foundation Inc. Endowment Fund directed to support North Central State College and The Ohio State University-Mansfield.

Richland Newhope Industries received a grant of $7,701 for the Innovations in Integration Program. Granted from Richland Newhope Industries Fund, an Agency Designated Fund established by Richland Newhope to support their mission of integrating individuals with disabilities in their communities.

United Way of Richland County received a grant of $7,500 for roof repairs of the Richland Community Service Center, which houses several United Way affiliated agencies. Granted from the Fred B. Hout Memorial Fund directed to support the physical assets of the United Way and their agencies.
