Richland County Foundation awards $62,576 to Area Nonprofits
from Donor Advised Funds

Richland County Foundation’s Board of Trustees recently approved the following grants from several donor advised funds. These grants were made at the suggestion of the donor to support local nonprofit organizations:

   to North Central State College
   to North Central State College Foundation
   to Ohio Special Response Team, Inc.
   to The Ohio State University-Mansfield
   to Renaissance Performing Arts
   to Richland Academy of the Arts, Inc.
   to Raemelton Therapeutic Equestrian Center
   to The Salvation Army

The flexibility and convenience of a donor advised fund can greatly facilitate charitable giving to the community. A donor can make a contribution in one fiscal year and suggest grants for many years to come. The suggestions follow certain guidelines and must be approved by the board of trustees.
