Foundation Awards $367,400 in College Scholarships

Richland County Foundation awarded $367,400 college scholarships to 429 students in Richland County. Four hundred of these students will be attending colleges and universities in Ohio.

Annual scholarship grants are made from scholarship funds established by donors and from unrestricted funds in the community endowment that are approved by the board of trustees.

Richland County students can apply for the 2011-2012 school year starting in January 2011 and can download applications at www.rcfoundation.org. Scholarships are awarded primarily based on financial need. The deadline for receiving applications is April 1. Students are advised to apply early to be sure all paperwork is in place by the deadline.
