The Power of Endowment

Why a gift to RCF can be “For Good. For Ever.”

When you make a gift to the Richland County Foundation, you have the unique ability to do good now and forever by contributing to, or creating an Endowed Fund. At the heart of the mission of the Foundation is building endowment to secure the future for Richland County. An endowment can be compared to a savings or retirement account. Endowed funds are created so the original gift remains intact but is invested to grow in value. As the fund grows, a portion of the earnings can be granted to public charities.

The following chart illustrating the "Power of Endowment" is based on an endowed fund established with $100,000.
