| The Women’s Fund was established in 1996 as a permanent endowment to provide funding to programs and projects in the Richland County area, which empower women to reach their full potential. The Advisory Committee awards grants that promote the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, economic and cultural growth of women of all ages. Organizations that are eligible to receive grants include 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, churches, and health service organizations.
Grants are awarded annually with a September due date. Announcements of the grant opportunity will be sent to all nonprofits on the Foundation’s mailing list. Please contact the Foundation if you would like to be added to the mailing list for Women’s Fund information.
Application Process: Submit a completed and signed Womens Fund Grant Application to the Foundation by 5:00 p.m. on the proposal due date. Applications that are mailed must be postmarked by the proposal due date. Grant Budget and Notification of Awards: The decisions will be announced 6-8 weeks after the deadline.
The Advisory Committee would be most receptive to grant applications for innovative programs, especially those which are creative, those which will make a significant impact on women in the community, and those which demonstrate collaboration among two or more agencies. We encourage you to consider cooperating with other agencies to develop a program or project which will encompass a broader spectrum of women than you normally serve, and/or one that will serve your clients/students in new ways.
