Summertime Kids Program

Creative, Educational, and Fun

The Summertime Kids Program provides grants to nonprofit agencies that wish to develop creative, educational and fun-filled activities for Richland County children throughout the summer months. Organizations eligible to receive grants from the Foundation include 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, churches, government entities and health service organizations.

Grant Writing Workshop: Wednesday, January 9, 2008 from 11:30-1:00 pm.

RSVP by Monday, January 7. Space is limited. (Please make only one reservation per organization) A complimentary lunch will be provided. Workshop is held in the lower level meeting room of the Foundation office at 24 West Third Street, Suite 100, Mansfield, Ohio.

Proposal Due Date: Friday, February 8, 2008 by 5:00 p.m.

Application Process: Submit a completed and signed application to the Foundation by 5:00 p.m. on the proposal due date. Applications that are mailed must be postmarked by the proposal due date. The original plus 18 copies must be submitted. Please limit attachments-submit only the application form (front and back).

Grant Budget and Notification of Awards: The committee will have a minimum grant budget of $20,000 to respond to grant proposals. The maximum grant amount for an individual proposal is $2,500. If the program is a collaborative effort, it is possible that each agency receive grant dollars, thus, the total amount awarded could exceed $2,500. For collaborative projects, please submit only one application and note on the application the lead agency. Grants will be awarded in early April.

Grant Guidelines: This program is designed to support agencies that wish to develop or expand creative, educational and fun-filled activities offered to children of Richland County throughout the summer months. The grant dollars should be used for direct programming expenses rather than operational expenses.
