Individual Assistance Grant Awards
2009
Mansfield Memorial Homes for "Rotary Adult Daycare Program" received a grant for $15,000. The weekday program, held at the Blymyer Avenue facility, provides activities and socialization for the elderly and Richland County residents 55 and older who may need assistance and can no longer remain alone. Granted from the Ralph C. Lutz Fund.
Mansfield Memorial Homes for "Homemaker Home Health Program" received a grant for $20,000 to pay for home health services that include personal care, light housekeeping, and limited errand-runs to assist the elderly. Granted from the Ralph C. Lutz Fund and the Scattergood Fund.
American Red Cross will receive up to $15,000 to provide emergency shelter, clothing, and food.
Catholic Charities received $50,000 to meet an increasing need in the community for assistance with rent and mortgage payments.
The Salvation Army received $10,000 to provide emergency utility payment assistance.
2008
Catholic Charities received $35,000 for Community Emergency Services for assistance with rent, mortgage, and utility payments. Catholic Charities assists individuals, couples, and families who may not qualify for help from Richland County Jobs and Family Services. Granted from funds at the Foundation directed for agencies providing direct services to the needy.
Hospice of North Central Ohio received $3,500 for Financial Assistance Program to address unexpected financial needs of individuals or families dealing with issues of caner. Granted from the Ralph C. Lutz Fund.

Ohio Area Agency on Aging received $15,000 for the "HEMEN Program (Helping Elderly Maintain Essential Needs). " For nine years, the HEMEN program has been providing essential needs that help the elderly to remain in their own homes. Granted from funds at the Foundation directed for agencies providing direct services to the needy.
The Salvation Army received a $10,000 grant for Emergency Rent, Utilities and Transportation. The grant provides short-term help with rent and utilities. A smaller portion of the grant will address emergency transportation issues. Granted from funds at the Foundation directed for agencies providing direct services to the needy.
2007
Area Agency on Aging received $30,000 providing the local match for the HEMEN program (Helping Elderly Maintain Essential Needs). The HEMEN program provides essential needs that keep the elderly in their own homes. Granted from funds at the Foundation directed for individual assistance.
Catholic Charities received $35,000 to assist individuals with emergency rent, utilities, or prescription drugs. Catholic Charities provides assistance to individuals, couples, and families not eligible for assistance from Richland County Jobs and Family Services. Catholic Charities services an average of 70 people a day experiencing difficulties from job loss, illness or other unexpected events. Granted from funds at the Foundation directed for individual assistance.
Hospice of North Central Ohio received a grant of $2,500 for financial assistance for Richland County residents dealing with the issues of cancer.
Mansfield Memorial Homes received a grant for $15,000 to pay for home health services that include personal care and housekeeping needs to assist the elderly to remain in their own homes.
Mansfield Memorial Homes received a $15,000 grant for services associated with the Rotary Adult DayCare Program that provides daily activities for the elderly as their families and/or caregivers work or take care of personal business.
Planned Parenthood of North Central Ohio received a $10,000 grant coupled with a Challenge Grant up to $10,000, $1 for every $1 raised from new funding sources, for cancer prevention and cancer screening services.
